My first character Gius is a Holy Priest. He’s been that way from the begining. Indeed, it has been much more difficult to level him than my warrior but at last he’s level 70!
I already have his 3 primal mooncloth pieces done and a few other good pieces of gear. I haven’t gemmed the chest and belt yet since I was too broke to afford any gems. That will be done ASAP.
Anyway, I start level 70 with 5600 health, 6900 mana and 1200 bonus healing unbuffed. I don’t have the gems, like I mentioned above, or any enchants. I’ll also get the Whitmend hood and pants soon. I guess I should get a flying mount first though.
I got very lucky with Shadow Labs. A guildie was running it when his entire PUG party dropped. He pulled me in and some others from the guild. I get in there and find we are only 2 pulls away from murmur! We cleared those easily and I had my kara attunement shard. Then we downed Murmur. I got my shard and completed 3 quests all in about 20 minutes.
I’ll be getting my SV and Arc shards tonight I hope and then get BM done. My guild still requires the Kara attunements so my goal is to have that done in time to be in the Wednesday Kara run.
I can’t tell you how excited I am to finally haf this guy at 70. Besides raid healing, I am really looking forward to speccing Discipline for Arena and BG’s.

How did levelling holy work out? Were you able to quest much or were you completely dependant on grouping and instancing?
I am curious to know simply because people always say holy isn’t the way to level but I suspect with enough groups and instances it should be pretty ok.

I did a fair amount of instances but also a lot of solo questing. Probably close to 50/50. I did bring in my pocket mage (son has a 70 mage) from time to time if the quests got to be too tuff. But leveling as holy can be done.

An update not worthy of a post: I got my chest and belt gemmed last night and also got my flyer. Hopefully tonight I’ll get the frags for Kara from SV and Arc. I also completed all the daily quests on the Isle. Most on my own but I called in my pocket mage for the demons and the blood elves. Now that I have a flyer I can do all 4 of the ones that can drop badges.

Hey, nice!
My healing priest is at lvl 66 now and doing a bit of PvP on the side to help round out my gear, after making the Primal Mooncloth set (well, 2/3 right now, 3/3 before I hit 70), so it’s neat to know kinda what my stats will be when I put on that gear when I ding.

Short update. SV and Arc frags obtained. Still need to run Black Morass to finish the Kara attunement. I’m doing 18 dailies every day to be able to get more gear crafted. The Whitemend pants are first (I need 4 more primal mights), then the Whitemend hood and then the Swiftheal bracers since one of our guildies got the recipe.
